Kevin Bakalian
President and Chief Operating Officer
A graduate of Newark College of Engineering, Kevin started his career working for a national supermarket chain and was then hired as Director of Construction and Real Estate for Marks & Spenser, a London based food and department store retailer. Fourteen years later, after Marks & Spenser divested of their North American holdings, Kevin served as Senior Vice President of Real Estate & Construction at regional shopping center development and construction firm. Kevin joined Fi Companies in 2004 and his background of retail, construction and real estate experience provides our operations with the leadership that understands what the retail client and their lessor require during project execution. His engineering education further delivers a focus on precision and attention to detail when planning, executing and closing out out any job.
Kim Cattelona
Chief Financial Officer
Kim has been with Fi Companies since August of 2001 starting as an Accounts Payable Coordinator. Throughout the years Kim has earned many promotions, leading her to becoming the Company’s CFO. She is responsible for all record keeping and managing the financial risks of the company. Kim is an integral part of the company’s financial planning process and provides support to the company’s president and various directors
Mike Corlett
Director of Operations, MHI
Mike is an experienced leader and manager, known for developing talented team members and creating effective organization. He has over 20 years managing and executing construction, project management, project reporting, maintenance/inspection and repair of steel racking including cantilever, H-frame, carousels, as well as specialty types and complex racking accessories. In addition to his extensive construction and material handling industry knowledge, Mike is proficient in IT technology and keeps Fi in the forefront of the latest software, automation and infrastructure.
Angelo Stratigakis
Senior Project Manager
Angelo has been with Fi Companies since 2014. He has over 16 years of commercial construction project management experience as a Senior Project Manager and has spent several years in the field as a superintendent. His responsibilities include setting up and reviewing estimates, budgets, and construction timetable for projects. He develops the overall construction strategy. He selects our field team and the subcontractors, and provides required explanations for the builders and other professionals associated with the project, coordinating and collaborating with clients, architects and specialists. Angelo and his team execute various rollouts, remodels, and new store build-outs for small to big box retailers, convenience stores and restaurants.
Luis Aguirre
Senior Project Manager
Luis comes to Fi Companies with over 25 years of commercial construction experience. He has performed in various roles in Commercial General Contracting such as an estimator, a superintendent and project manager. He has worked, both nationally and in Puerto Rico, in a variety of sectors within the commercial construction industry including hospitality, higher education, data centers, retail, tenant improvement and ground up construction. Luis has also worked as an Owners Representative for retailers such as H&M, Sports Authority and Shoe Palace. He is skilled in coordinating and directing budgets, design consultants , developers, and internal and external partners His current responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination of subcontractors, coordination with local jurisdictions for permitting, budgeting, coordination of labor crews and client relations.
